The NEW SARfinder® 'SOS' continuously monitors crew wearing the Sea Marshall® alerting units. The PLB is a fully automatic, miniature radio transmitter designed to be discreetly worn around the neck or incorporated into a lifejacket or an immersion suit.

When a person falls in the water the PLB, within 15 seconds, will automatically transmit a signal on the 121.5 MHz frequency, the international search and rescue homing frequency. The immerged PLB will set off an alarm on the display unit and indicate the direction of the MOB.
